Thanks for your interest in our combined SPRAT and IRATA rope access training course. The course will be mentally and physically challenging, so a bit of preparation will go a long way. This course is especially challenging because you’ll learn about each of the two certification schemes and their individual requirements. The certification sessions are usually run on the same day as the availability of the SPRAT evaluator and IRATA assessor allows. You may also register for single certification courses for SPRAT or IRATA.

  • What do I need to bring to class?

    Not much. We suggest you bring a light lunch and some electrolytes such as Gatorade or Pedialyte, we have a couple of fridges. We’ll supply all of the equipment, so don’t bring any of yours. We'll give you a thumb drive loaded with all kinds of information, so it's best if you bring a laptop.

  • I want to upgrade. What do I need to do?

    First, make sure your logbook is in order. IRATA requires all Candidates wishing to renew or upgrade their certification to submit their logbook before they are approved to attend a class. Your logbook should be up to date and all reported hours should be signed by an appropriate person. Secondly, you should check out our blogs for helpful articles written to help you prepare for class. Lastly, attend a course and have a blast!

IRATA TechConnect

IRATA candidates are required to register through the IRATA TechConnect portal prior to their assessment. Please begin the registration process as soon as possible. IRATA will verify your address, identification provided, and photo submitted. Each of these verifications must be conducted before you are fully registered and may take days to complete.

If you are already registered, please visit the portal to ensure your information is correct.

IRATA Logbooks

In accordance with IRATA requirements, you must submit a copy of your IRATA logbook (all pages with entries) to us before training begins. The logbook must be verified by our staff in advance.

  • If we do not receive your verified IRATA logbook prior to the course, you may not be allowed to start training.
  • Incomplete or missing logbooks may result in dismissal and a non-refundable fee may be charged.
